Joint YCAP/ICC YAF Breakfast (October 5) and the YCAP Fall Symposium (October 6) - Vancouver
We are planning two very special YCAP events for the week of October 4th in Vancouver to coincide with the IBA Conference (details below).
Joint YCAP/ICC YAF Breakfast, to be held on Tuesday, October 5th gtom 7:45 - 9:45 a.m., will feature speakers on the topic of mediation and arbitration in international disputes from a number of different perspectives.
The YCAP Fall Symposium, to be held on Wednesday, October 6 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., will focus on the topic of sports arbitration. Note that this event will be immediately followed by a cocktail reception (7:00 to 8:00 p.m.) at the same location hosted jointly by YCAP and the LCIA's YIAG.

The ICC International Court of Arbitration and the IBA Arbitration Committee will be presenting an "ICC-IBA Roundtable, Reception and Dinner in Vancouver on Saturday, October 2nd.
The ICC International Court of Arbitration and the IBA Arbitration Committee will be presenting an "ICC-IBA Roundtable, Reception and Dinner in Vancouver on Saturday, October 2nd: "An Inside Perspective: News and Updates form the ICC and IBA", will run from 4:30 to 6:00pm. It will be followed by a Reception until 7:30pm.
There is be an informal "no host" Dinner at 8:00 pm at a nearby restaurant (to which spouses and guests are welcome). There is an excellent line-up of speakers, including:

Scholarship available for the 2010 IBA Annual Conference in Vancouver
The Dispute Resolution Section of the IBA will be awarding a scholarship to a young lawyer who wishes to participate in the IBA Annual Conference in Vancouver on October 3-8, 2010, but may find financial difficulties in doing so. The scholarship award for 2010 includes the following:
• Free registration for the IBA 2010 Annual Conference, 3-8 October 2010, Vancouver, Canada.
• A contribution towards travel costs to the conference.
• A contribution towards accommodation costs while attending the conference.
• Two year's free membership of the IBA, LPD and PPID including membership of one committee within the awarding section and one free PPID committee.
• A waiver of either the next IBA Annual Conference registration fee or the registration fee of one of the chosen committees' specialist conferences.
• Free membership of the Scholarship Alumni Group.
