Philippe is a counsel in the litigation and international arbitration groups of Borden Ladner Gervais in Montréal. Prior to returning to Canada in 2021, Philippe worked for eight years in the international arbitration team of a leading international law firm at the Paris office. Philippe has a broad commercial practice encompassing complex domestic and cross-border disputes, notably in the fields of construction and infrastructure and in the enforcement of arbitral awards in Canada. He regularly represents clients before arbitration tribunals (both domestic and international) and courts. Philippe is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and is a contributor to the Arbitration Matters newsletter. He has been recognized as a Future Leader in arbitration by Who’s Who Legal.

Dina Prokic is an associate at Woods LLP in Montreal. Multilingual and trained in both common law and civil law, Dina Prokic is a member of the Quebec and New York State bars. Having previously worked at the UN Commission on International Trade Law, as well as international law firms in London and Vienna, Dina acts primarily in the fields of international arbitration and litigation. She has been involved in international and domestic ad hoc and institutional arbitrations, including under the ICC, ICDR, ICSID, LCIA and UNCITRAL Rules. Apart from her work as counsel, Dina also serves as secretary to arbitral tribunals in international and domestic commercial and investor-State disputes. Dina is active in the arbitration community through her roles as the Senior Assistant Editor of the Kluwer Arbitration Blog, coach of the McGill Faculty of Law team for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, and mentor within the “Girl Empowerment and Mentorship (GEM) Program”, the first diversity initiative launched in the Western Balkans by Association ARBITRI with the support of ArbitralWomen.

Emily is a senior litigation associate at Torys LLP in Toronto where her practices focuses on investor-state arbitration and commercial arbitration. Emily has acted on many of Torys’ leading investment arbitrations across a variety of sectors. Emily has appeared as counsel in investment and commercial arbitrations with the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Emily has also appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal. Prior to her call to the bar, Emily graduated from Queen’s University Faulty of Law as the gold medallist. In addition to her role with YCAP, Emily is one of four Canadian representatives for the North American chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitration & ADR Forum (ICC YAAF).

Bruno Savoie is a foreign lawyer practicing international arbitration at the law firm of City-Yuwa Partners in Tokyo. His practice focuses on international arbitration proceedings arising out of construction projects and commercial contracts. Bruno is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has experience acting as administrative tribunal secretary. He is fluent in English and French and has been invited to speak at seminars on international arbitration and the construction industry.

Kylan Kidd is a litigation associate with Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP in Calgary. Her practice focuses on complex commercial arbitration and litigation disputes, involving among other things, construction disputes, oil and gas joint venture claims, class proceedings, contractual disputes, alleged breaches of trust and/or fiduciary duty, and negligence claims. Recently, Kylan completed a long-term secondment with a leading power and renewable energy company. She has appeared as counsel before various tribunals and all levels of Court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court, Court of Queen’s Bench and the Court of Appeal.

Her experience includes domestic and international commercial arbitration, investor-state arbitration, and international trade litigation and she previously worked as a legal trainee in the International Arbitration Practice Group of a major global firm in Paris. Sarah is active in the arbitration community through her role as Arbitration Advisor at LexisNexis Practical Guidance and co-coaching the Willem C.
